How Does the Vortex™ Spas Warranty Work?

The Vortex™ Spas warranty offers peace of mind with a clear and straightforward process for addressing any issues:

Warranty Start Date

  • Coverage begins on the date the spa is delivered to the original buyer.

Eligibility

  • The warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is valid for products bought from authorized Vortex™ Leisure Pty Ltd resellers.

Reporting Defects

  • If you discover a defect, notify Vortex™ Leisure Pty Ltd or an authorised representative within 14 days of identifying the issue.

Provide proof of purchase when submitting your claim.

Shipping Costs

  • If the spa needs to be returned for repairs, the buyer is responsible for shipping costs.

Repair or Replacement

  • Vortex™ Leisure Pty Ltd will evaluate whether the defective product should be repaired or replaced.

What Does the Vortex™ Spas Warranty Cover?

Vortex™ Spas offers a comprehensive warranty that ensures the durability and long-term enjoyment of your spa. Here's a breakdown of the coverage:

Lifetime Warranty on Permaframe™

  • Covers the structural frame for life against defects in materials or workmanship that compromise the spa’s structural integrity.

10-Year Non-Pro-Rata Structural Warranty

  • Protects the spa shell against water loss due to defects for 10 years from the delivery date.

5-Year Non-Pro-Rata Acrylic Surface Warranty

  • Covers blistering, cracking, or delaminating of the acrylic surface that results in water loss for 5 years.

5-Year Warranty on Equipment, Controls, and Electrical Components

  • Includes pumps, heaters, and control systems for defects in materials or workmanship.
  • After the first year, parts are covered, but labor and freight costs are excluded.

5-Year Jet Warranty

  • Removable jets are warranted against manufacturing defects for 5 years.
  • Leaking jets are covered under the plumbing warranty, while laminar jets are covered for 1 year (parts-only).
  • Excludes damage caused by improper water chemistry, grit, or sand.

5-Year Plumbing Warranty

  • Covers defects in plumbing pipes and joints causing leaks for 5 years.
  • After the first year, coverage is limited to parts-only.

1-Year Air Blower Warranty

  • Covers defects in materials or workmanship. Damage caused by overfilling the spa voids this warranty.

1-Year Thermoclad™ Cabinet Warranty

  • Covers structural integrity and materials.
  • Fading and natural weathering over time are not considered defects.

1-Year Wifi, Audio System, Ozone, UV, and LED Lighting Warranty

  • Factory-installed components are warranted for defects for 1 year.
  • UV globes are parts-only and can be replaced by the customer.

1-Year External Heat Pump Warranty

  • Covers defects in materials and workmanship. Installation must comply with the user manual to maintain coverage.

1-Year Spa Hardcover Warranty

  • Protects the cover’s structural integrity and vinyl. Excludes damage to stitching, straps, or locks caused by improper use.

Headrests

  • Spa headrests are excluded from the standard warranty but are covered under a 30-day return-to-base warranty for manufacturing defects.

2-Year IKON™ Deck Warranty

  • Covers materials and craftsmanship for 2 years.
  • Fading or weathering over time is not considered a defect.

ClearLift™ Warranty (Optional Upgrade)

  • Electrical Components: 2 years parts and labor, with an additional 1-year parts-only warranty.
  • Cover Foam: 1-year parts and labor, plus 1 year parts-only.
  • Frame and Mechanical Components: 5 years total (2 years parts and labor, 3 years parts-only).

What Are the Exclusions of the Vortex™ Spas Warranty?

The following issues are not covered under the warranty:

  • Damage caused by improper water maintenance or using temperatures above 45°C.
  • Clogged filters or improper use of the spa cover.
  • Natural disasters, flooding, pests, or termites.
  • Improper electrical installation, voltage fluctuations, or exceeding the voltage range.
  • Damage caused by not placing the spa on a sufficiently hard and level surface.
  • Cosmetic wear and tear such as fading or scratches.
  • Commercial use (all warranties are reduced to a maximum of 6 months).
  • Relocation of the spa from its original installed location.
  • Improper use of the ClearLift™ Cover, such as during high winds or with excessive weight (e.g., snow).
  • Closing the ClearLift™ Cover on foreign objects.

Important: Regularly check and tighten barrel unions as outlined in the user manual to maintain warranty coverage.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

If you encounter an issue covered under your Vortex™ Spas warranty, follow these steps to resolve it:

1. Contact Your Reseller:

If your reseller cannot assist, notify Vortex™ Leisure Pty Ltd in writing within 14 days of identifying the defect. Ensure your notification includes: A detailed description of the issue. Proof of purchase (e.g., receipt or invoice).

3. Submit a Warranty Ticket:

4. Prepay Shipping Costs (If Required):

If your spa needs to be returned to Vortex™ for repair, you must prepay the shipping costs.

5. Travel Costs for Service Agents:

Vortex™ Leisure Pty Ltd will cover the travel expenses of a service agent for the first 50 km from their base. Any additional travel costs are the responsibility of the spa owner.
