Whilst a conventional spa heater turns 1 kilowatt of electricity into 1 kilowatt of heat, the Hybrid Heat Pump turns 1 kilowatt of electricity into 5 kilowatts of heat, giving you up to 4 kilowatts of heat for FREE!
Running costs are reduced.
If a spa fitted with a conventional heater costs $10* to keep hot for a given period, a spa fitted with a Hybrid heat pump and utilising off peak power periods may only cost around $2.70 to keep hot for the same period. A saving of 73%!!
‘The higher efficiency of heat pumps (300%-350% efficient) make them much more efficient than high-efficiency gas heaters (90-99% efficient), and electric heating (100)%’ – Wikipedia
How is it fitted to the spa?
The Hybrid heat pump system is a stand alone unit that is plumbed into the spas plumbing upon installation. The Hybrid system ‘talks’ to the spas controller giving you seamless operation, whilst significantly reducing your running costs.
The heat pump can be positioned to suit your location but must be installed with 3 metres of the spa on a solid, level surface. The heat pump draws it’s power via the spas control system.
Cooling your spa.
If you live in a hot climate, often you cannot cool your spa to a refreshing temperature. With the Hybrid system you can!
*Actual running costs will vary depending on use, location and climate
Is there extra maintenance required?
No, the Hybrid heat pump unit is designed to last the life time of the spa and no maintenance is required if the unit is kept free from debris
